He leads me through the wilderness.
He guides me through the storm.
He stays with me throughout the night
and comforts me at morn.
And in my times of trial,
my troubled times, my tears,
my Lord is always with me,
so very, very near.
The trials He gives will strengthen me,
and cleanse and purify,
until I reach the Promised Land above
and step inside;
But till then, He’ll stay with me
to turn my nights to day;
To turn my tears to laughter
as He guides me in the way.
